When I created this blog my intention was never to get money out of it and, though it might now look like it, that’s still not my intention. I was robbed some hours ago and now I don’t have the iPod Touch I bought with the money collected with 3 months of hard work. I only bought it because I wanted to create a site like this since 2010 but I needed at least an iPod to get access to JWEB, translating and getting updates from pages around the net. I can’t work during the rest of the year because I go to medicine school and I’m in a hospital 24/7, basically. I know it’s not your problem but felt like I should at least give a proper explanation.
Before this day, I was planning on making this a proper web page, with a proper domain and hosting. Though I was willing to invest money from my own pocket, as you can see I’m no longer in a position to do so. And thinking about it, I already invest so much time in this page (a lot really), investing money too will be a little suicidal since I still depend on my parents.
I need the amount of 60.00 – 70.00 USD to get this webpage into a proper hosting and domain (for a year), which means I’d be able to embed videos from any type of source (yinyuetai, weibo, youku, tudou, etc.) in addition to make a decent organization and design. Among other projects I have but can’t actually do because WordPress does not allow it.
The other is to donate for an iPod, of course I’m not asking you to pay the whole thing, donation button will be only available for 2 months or until the amount collected in total gets to 300.00 USD. If by any chance during that time you want to donate even a tiny bit to a new iPod, any help will be greatly appreciated. I will post the amount collected daily in the Media Updates posts.
Sorry for doing this but I wouldn’t ask for it if I could find a better solution. This is a young blog, with less than a year but you can be sure I intend to keep updating it for a very very very long time. Thanks for reading this.
